Project Management

When I’m not writing, editing, or supermodeling, you can find me working with talented teams to bring digital projects to life, including mobile websites, video games, animation, and more. I recently left the web development shop Four Kitchens, and I’m seeking an opportunity where I can use my skills as a team leader and resource manager to produce great digital experiences. I especially enjoy the challenge of collaborating with clients to build a product that matches their vision.

More than 12 years’ experience managing complex projects in simultaneous production for a variety of media and devices, including web and mobile, as well as video games. 2015 – Present

Senior Project Manager

Manage broad projects for mobile apps, web development, and hardware ecosystems, including feature prioritization, team staffing, and building client relationships. For example, managed a 25+ person team on a multi-million dollar, international project for a major Swiss watchmaking brand, delivering a $1,500+ luxury smartwatch device, website, and Android app in 6-months.

Digital Project Manager and Scrum Master

  • Led distributed agile web development teams providing online strategy, content, infrastructure, and maintenance for websites such as NBC, Time, Inc., PRI, and more.
  • Tracked and identified risk in project budgets, providing regular status updates to all stakeholders.
  • Coordinated collaboration between clients and teams as primary contact in client relationship.
  • Led discovery workshops to define project goals/requirements.
  • Led Scrum rituals such as stand ups, sprint planning and retros to constantly improve quality.
  • Built a stronger development community by writing and giving presentations on Scrum methodologies and the development process.

2004 – PRESENT

Content Creator

  • New York Times bestselling author; writer of video games for multiple platforms.
  • Writer of a variety of Marvel comics featuring Spider-Man, Hulk, Wolverine, etc.
  • Currently editing the Forgotten City comic book series, coordinating schedule and workflow for a geographically distributed team.
  • While living in Uzbekistan, authored content for the U.S. Embassy’s website and social media profiles, as well as Two Tales of Uzbekistan, a picture book of Uzbek mythology.
  • Provided localization services to publishers including Marvel’s Soleil line, DC’s CMX line, and Les Humanoides Associes, polishing and refining English translations for American readers.

2009 – 2010

Associate Project Manager

  • Managed schedule and content pipeline for multiple teams on Bioware’s Star Wars: The Old Republic MMO game.
  • Successfully led creation of thousands of cinematics for the largest writing project in multimedia history.
  • Managed 2 development teams in simultaneous production – anticipating, communicating, and resolving blockers.
  • Improved production efficiency by implementing new practices.
  • Tracked thousands of cinematic assets, defining and cross-referencing each one by level of quality and time investment.
  • Led Scrum rituals with an emphasis on improving the production process and accuracy in projections.

Senior Producer

  • Managed cross-functional team in all aspects of production (assets, tools, features, QA, and localization) on handheld games.
  • Served as primary contact for client relationship.

  • Managed art and audio/VO assets and resources to ensure on-time delivery of multiple simultaneous animated projects.

  • Supervised third-party studios creating additional art.
